XML File Tools helps people inspect and format XML without sending file contents to a conversion service. It is operated by Ship It! Software Limited.

What it does

The editor opens selected or pasted XML, preserves editable source and local sessions, and provides inspection, validation, formatting and export tools. Advanced tools accept explicitly attached local resources.

What it does not do

The editor does not automatically fetch remote schemas, DTDs or stylesheets. Formatting is not byte-preserving. Local editing requires no account and does not store document contents on our servers. The separately installed XML Editor desktop app has analytics and diagnostics described in the Privacy Policy.
